The Malaysian Association of Professional Secretaries and Administrators (MAPSA) has achieved significant milestones, marking its journey of growth and impact:

  2. Recognition and Expansion: In 2013, MAPSA gained official recognition as HRDF Training Provider for its pivotal role in elevating the status of secretarial and administrative professionals. This recognition propelled the association's growth across industries and sectors.

  3. Professional Development Initiatives: MAPSA launched transformative programs, workshops, and seminars, providing members with opportunities to enhance their skills, knowledge, and capabilities, driving continuous professional development.

  4. Networking and Collaboration: MAPSA facilitated connections and collaborations among professionals through networking events, fostering a supportive community that encourages learning and knowledge exchange.

1968      SSM was registered on 7 May.

1975      Membership/Affiliations: IAAP USA, ASA Asia- Pacific, NCWO, Sabah, Sarawak & Johor.

1977      Created Boss-of-the-Year Award.

1979      Proclamation of Secretaries' Week by then Datuk Bandar of Kuala Lumpur.

1980      Office at Rumah SSM, Bangsar, Kuala Lumpur.

1981      Introduced the Certified Professional Secretary (CPS) Exam, Institute of Certifying Secretaries, IAAP, USA.

1984      Created SSMer-of-the-Year Award.

1986      7th ASA Congress of Secretaries held in KL. SSM & ASA songs by member Chia Lai Wah.

1996      SSM's Vision & Mission Statements

1997      Task Force formed to restructure SSM's Constitution and name change to MAPSA.

1998      SSM 30th Anniversary graced by Her Majesty, Seri Paduka Baginda Raja Permaisuri Agong

1999      Contributions to charitable organizations

2000      Merdeka Breakaway to Kuching (Aug/Sep). NCWO Dialogue with PM  at Putrajaya

2001      Visit to Rumah Kanak Kanak Impian. SSM/SAPES Meet. SAPES 30th Anniversary in Singapore

2002      SSS 30th Anniversary in Sarawak, 15th ASA Congress held in Brunei Darussalam

                SSM Charity Bazaar & Visit to Seri Kembangan Old Folks Home

2003      35th Anniversary. Charity Visit to Tara Bhavan Home

2004      New 1st MAPSA GC

                16th ASA Congress in Singapore

2005      APW – Transformed Administrator

2006      Charity Project - Ampang Old Folks Home. MAPSA New Year Open House at Rumah MAPSA

                APW Conference - "Towards The Administrative/Management Excellence" at Concorde Hotel.
